Tata Motors has recently launched its Tiago XZ Plus variant for both petrol and diesel trims. There are only some cosmetic changes to the Tiago while the mechanicals is unchanged from before.
The Petrol motor is the same 1.2Litre Revotron Engine putting out 85 PS of power with 114Nm whereas the diesel counterpart is the 1.05 Litre Revotorq Engine putting out 70 PS with 140Nm. The dimensions are also unchanged with 3,746mm in length, 1,647mm in width and 1,535mm in height.
The main highlights of XZ Plus are the Projector Headlamps with smoked black bezel, New 15-inch Alloy wheels, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a much better response than the touchscreen infotainment offered before in the Tiago.
The touchscreen supports AndroidAuto, Voice Command Access and Incoming SMS notifications while Apple CarPlay is not on offer but could be added later on.
The drive becomes more delightful than before with the 4 speakers and 4 Tweeters sound system by Harman compared to the 2 Tweeters in the lower variant.
Now, you will get Automatic Air-Conditioner with digital control in the Tiago XZ Plus variant which is a welcome addition.
XZ+ is only offered in Manual Transmission, for Petrol Single Tone, you have to pay Rs. 5.57 Lakh while for the Dual-tone the price is Rs. 5.64 Lakh. Talking about the Diesel version of the Tiago XZ Plus Variant, for the single tone you have to shell out Rs. 6.31 Lakh while for the dual tone you have to pay Rs. 6.38 Lakh. All Prices are Ex-Showroom Delhi.
Tata XZ Plus variant is offered in two new colors – Canyon Orange and Ocean Blue. Both these colors would complement the dual tone exterior of Tiago XZ Plus with Glossy Black Roof and Spoiler. Tata always has envisioned Tiago as innovative, attractive and a feature loaded car. With the growing sales of Tiago, Tata has finally made its vision possible.
Also, the recently launched Santro stands as a tough competition for the Tiago since Hyundai has always been known to develop feature loaded cars and Santro is no exception to that. It would be great to see now how both these cars perform in competition to each other since now both are feature loaded with segment first features.
