After the launch of Tata’s head turning Harrier, Tata is extensively testing its new 7 seater H7X in India, which is gonna launch sooner in 2019 as revealed by Tata.
While the front fascia of H7X looks similar to Harrier, there are some changes in dimensions to make 3rd seat passengers sit more comfortable. Alike Harrier, new H7X is based on Land Rover’s D8 platform, also H7X sits on new 18inch nine- spoke alloys also borrowed from Land Rover Discovery Sport. Keeping the wheel base same, there is phenomenal increase in length by 62mm.
Under the hood, Tata is providing more powerful BS-VI compliant 2.0 Kryotec diesel engine producing 170hp and 350nm of torque, also Hyundai sourced 6 speed torque converter automatic transmission and 6 speed manual transmission are available options for easy maneuvering of the big chunk.
Tata while designing H7X, did a great job in providing better leg space as well as head room to the third seat passengers, not only this much, last seaters are also getting a treat of 3rd row AC vents, cup holders, USB charging ports, if reclining seat are available then it will be cherry on pudding.
